The Confidence Standard · Visibility Pillar

Know what your access

control and cameras

actually cover, before

you build on top of it

A structured review of access control, cameras and alarm systems.

Badge readers added over a decade, cameras with three different retention settings, an alarm panel
nobody remembers programming: physical security systems accumulate the same way network closets do.
This assessment documents what you have, where the coverage gaps are, and whether the system is ready
to integrate with the network and IT infrastructure work planned around it.

Professional Service, expert-led, project-based work. Deep expertise, delivered with structure.

Where this sits

Part of the IT Infrastructure portfolio, Visibility Pillar

This service serves the IT Director KPI: Physical Risk Visibility.

Pillar 01

VISIBILITY

Physical Security Systems Assessment maps what you have and where it falls short.

Pillar 02

OPTIMIZATION

Findings scope the access control and camera work under IT Closet Buildouts.

Pillar 03

CONTINUITY

Managed IT Infrastructure keeps the systems patched and monitored afterward.

honest qualification

When this is the right move, and when it's not.

Start here if...

  • You are planning an IT closet buildout or network refresh and need to know what the physical security systems require.
  • Access control or camera coverage has grown without anyone documenting the current state.
  • You are onboarding a new facility and inheriting systems nobody on your team configured.
  • An insurance or compliance review is asking questions about physical security you cannot currently answer.

Something else first if...

  • You already know exactly what needs replacing and just need it installed. IT Closet Buildouts is the faster path.
  • Your question is about the network itself, not the physical security systems on it. Network Assessment is the right starting point.
  • You need ongoing monitoring of these systems, not a one-time review. Managed IT Infrastructure covers that.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers before the call.

Do you replace or recommend specific hardware during this assessment?

No. This assessment documents the current state and gaps. Recommendations and vendor selection happen afterward, informed by these findings, either through IT Closet Buildouts or a separate scoped project.

Will this disrupt access control or camera systems while you assess them?

No. The review is a walkthrough plus configuration and log review. Systems stay live and access continues normally throughout.

How is this different from a Network Assessment?

Network Assessment maps the network itself: hardware, performance, cabling, wireless. This maps the physical security systems that often run on that network, access control, cameras and alarms, which is a different set of gaps entirely. Many clients run both together when planning a larger infrastructure project.

How is this priced?

Fixed price by site count, established on the discovery call, so the number doesn't move if the walkthrough takes longer than expected.
